Medical Disclaimer

In short

HealthWatch HK is an independent information aggregator, not a healthcare provider, and does not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Content on this site is for reference only — by using this site, you understand and accept the terms below.

Not medical advice

Everything on this site — waiting times, hospital and clinic information, service scope, and more — is general reference information only and cannot substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have any concern about your own or someone else's health, consult a registered doctor or other qualified healthcare professional.

Not affiliated with the Hospital Authority or the HKSAR Government

This site has no affiliation, partnership, or endorsement relationship with the Hospital Authority (HA), the Government of the Hong Kong SAR, or any of its agencies. We only aggregate HA's own open government data published via data.gov.hk — this is not an official HA publishing channel.

Not reviewed by healthcare professionals

Content on this site is compiled and written by the site operator and has not been reviewed or clinically verified by a registered doctor, nurse, or other healthcare professional.

Not a triage or referral tool

This site cannot and does not: assess how urgent your condition is; recommend which hospital or clinic you should go to; or predict your actual queue position or appointment time. Every triage decision is still made through clinical assessment by a nurse and doctor after you arrive at the A&E or clinic.

About the waiting-time figures

The waiting times shown here are aggregate statistics published by HA (such as medians and 95th-percentile figures), not a scheduling guarantee for any individual patient. Figures may lag behind reality, contain source errors, or diverge sharply from actual conditions during sudden surges in patient volume. Never delay seeking care, or self-assess how serious your condition is, based on this site's data.

In an emergency, call 999

If you or someone else is experiencing an emergency or life-threatening situation — such as a serious injury, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or signs of a stroke — call 999 for an ambulance immediately, or go to the nearest A&E. Never delay because of a waiting-time comparison.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for any decision about seeking medical care based on information from this site. We are not responsible for any loss, delay, or adverse outcome arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site's content.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of this site is not liable for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from your use of this site, including but not limited to losses caused by inaccurate data, delayed updates, or service interruptions. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud, where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Feedback or complaints about healthcare services

If you have feedback or a complaint about the quality of service at an HA hospital or clinic, please contact that hospital's own Patient Relations Officer, or HA Head Office directly — this site is not able to handle complaints of this kind.

Changes to this disclaimer

This disclaimer may be updated from time to time as the site's features or applicable regulations change, without individual notice — please check back for the latest version.
